Non-verbal components play an important role in English-language media discourse, influencing the perception of information and emotional impact on the audience. Gestures, facial expressions, intonation, pauses and other elements of non-verbal communication can strengthen or weaken the meaning of the reported content. Their use can create an atmosphere of trust, convince listeners of the truthfulness of the information presented and evoke an emotional response. The right combination of verbal and non-verbal means can make media content more memorable, attractive and effective.
