The Role and Development of the Service for Ensuring the Activities of Duty Units in the Modern System of Operational Management of Internal Affairs Bodies

The article considers in detail the service for ensuring the activities of duty units (SOD) as the main working tool within the Unified System of Information and Analytical Support for the Activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (ISOD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia). The article analyzes how the introduction of this service has changed the traditional work of duty stations, turning them into modern control centers. It describes in detail the functions of the SOD, its interaction with other information databases and its direct impact on the speed and quality of response to reports of violations. Special attention is paid to practical problems that arise when using the service.: from technical difficulties and outdated equipment to the need for additional training of employees and ensuring the protection of official information. In conclusion, clear and realistic ways are proposed for the further development of SDI, including the use of modern technologies for crime forecasting.
