The role of pancreas secretion inhibitors in combination therapy of patients with pancreatonecrosis

Investigation results of somatostatin and its synthetic analogues’ influence on the course and outcomes of different pancreatonecrosis types are presented in the article.It turns out that an early administration of pancreas secretion inhibitors associated with appropriate antibacterial prophylaxis helps to reduce manifestations of systemic inflammatory reaction and mortality of patients with pancreatonecrosis.
