The article deals with the problem of participation of an innovative employee in the implementation of management functions. The modern organization is exposed to rapidly changing external factors, which makes it vulnerable without adequate and preventive management. An innovative employee, as an employee with innovative potential, can be involved in management and in the implementation of other management functions. This form of interaction gives positive results. An innovative employee enriches management with new ideas, non-standard vision of solving problems, etc. The participation of an innovative employee in the implementation of other management functions also benefits the organization, making it more flexible and adaptive to change. At the same time, the organization must create the necessary conditions for the realization of the innovative potential of employees, both organizational and psychological. The management of the organization should study the motives of innovative individuals in order to create the necessary motivation system that contributes to the disclosure of the innovative potential of employees.
