The role of innovative activity of higher education institutions in integration of education, industry and science

The article is devoted to a study of content and algorithm of carrying out innovative activity in higher education institutions. The author has revealed characteristics of innovative activity in higher education institutions; their role in the development of economy of the region has been underlined. Dynamics of a number of organizations providing training of postgraduate and doctoral students, as well as graduation from postgraduate study with defense of dissertations in Russia, SFO and the Republic of Buryatiya have been analysed.
