The role of elective school subject in physics in secondary school

This article describes the positive experience of the physics teacher in the 9th grade of secondary school on the basis of the working program for elective courses "The role of physics in the development of science and society." This elective subject allows students to orient in the choice of subject and pre-profile interests. During training metasubject skills and understanding of need of deep competences for further successful professional activity are formed.
