Mordovia in the system of Russian federalism: specific features of status and role characteristics

The article deals with ethnic and cultural symbols in the political space of the Finno-Ugric republics, their role and importance for the different political actors. In reference to ethnicity it gives the particular attention to ethno-political symbolism.
