The role of computer technologies in the media sphere on the example of the festival of school mass media "The watchful heart"

The article is devoted to the modern experience of using computer technologies in the mass media. The relevance of the study is due to a steady trend to inform the public through the World Wide Web. Observations show that young specialists in the media sphere are inclined as a resource and tool for media education to use mainly Internet platforms. In this study, the authors analyze the possibilities of information technologies in relation to the socio-cultural and professional-educational practices of student journalists. Today, this topic seems to us especially important, since many traditional media, such as radio, print, television, have their own information channels on the Internet. The trend of the transition from one type of media to another or their merger is due to the popularity of the worldwide network. This can be influenced by the following factors: low cost of an Internet resource (duplicate of a newspaper, radio station, television channel), speed of notification, the ability to create a converged product.
