Role of cultural construction of the USSR in the contemporary regional development

The article deals with the cultural statistics of the Soviet period as regarding development of libraries, museums, clubs, publishing houses, in order to assess relevance of the cultural construction activities’ influence on the contemporary state of the cultural sphere. Besides, the author analyzes the statistic data in terms of city-village and constituent entities of the RSFSR in order to define the aspects contributing to the regional development of the culture today.
