The role of small businesses in ensuring the economic security of the region on the example of the Ulyanovsk region

Today, the key role of small business in ensuring the country's sustainable economy is recognized throughout the world. The article examines the dynamics of changes in the main indicators characterizing the development of small and micro-enterprises using the example of the Ulyanovsk region. The comparison of the indicators of the economic security of the region with the average indicators in the Volga Federal District is carried out. Already existing methods of supporting SMEs and small businesses in the region are highlighted, and brief recommendations are developed to improve the current situation.
