The article examines the role of the mother as the main stabilizing factor in the social adaptation of teenagers with disabilities. It is established that psychological research specificity of the parent against teen with disabilities is of great practical importance. Knowledge of the regularities of formation of maternal position, it is important to provide psychological support to the mother in solving her problem treatment, training, education of teenagers with disabilities, managing their own emotional state in the development of a rational attitude to his professional and family life.
