A role of modality in linguistics

The article reveals the definition of modality in linguistics from various scientific points of view because of the lack of general estimation of the present language category. In sprite of the existence of numerous approaches to the problem of modality in the language, the majority of linguists define it as a functional- semantic category and divide it into objective and subjective modality.
