The article considers the role of taxation in solving economic problems. The role of taxes is determined by creating the necessary market conditions for the maximum possible use of the fiscal, regulatory and control potential of taxes. Taxes are an integral part of the life of society as a whole. The tax system affects the standard of living of the population, the effectiveness of organizations and, of course, the state as a whole. The tax system acts as a mechanism that ensures the implementation of a number of economic and other tasks. The authors consider the functions imposed on taxes as a source of solving the economic problems of society.
