The role of folk theater in the life of the rural community of Buryatia

The flourishing of amateur folk creativity is characterized by an increase in the number of folk theaters which influenced and continue to have a significant impact on the cultural life of Buryatia. The article is devoted to studying the history of the folk theater development in the village Ekhe-Tsakir in the Zakamensk district. The folk theater is considered as one of the brightest examples of the new system formation for preserving and transmitting the basis of traditional culture in rural areas.
