The article is devoted to the study of the role of non-constructive coping strategies in the development of emotional burnout of medical workers. The results of a study of the relationship between the use of coping strategies and emotional burnout by medical workers are presented. The empirical study was conducted with 80 medical workers, including 57 nurses and 23 physicians in the intensive care unit, resuscitation and anesthesia department using psychodiagnostic tools: a methodology for diagnosing the level of emotional burnout. Boyko; Questionnaire of ways of coping R. Lazarus, S. Folkman (Wasserman adaptation). The mathematical processing of the results was carried out using the criterion of the F*-corporean Fisher transform. Determined that use of non-constructive coping strategies, such as flight-avoidance, distancing, self-control, are associated with a high level of emotional burnout and its components such as resistance and exhaustion. While constructive strategies (seeking social support, positive reassessment, problem-solving planning) are associated with a low level of emotional burnou.
