Aim: To establish connection between spatial characteristics of low-frequency theta1-band of EEG and efficiency of cognitive activity with attention switching in conditions of exog enous noise. Methods: EEG was recorded monopolarly in “10-20” system, while right-handed healthy participants (n=43; 19-21 year old) passed through Gorbov-Shulte's computer-aided test in form of red-black tables accompanied by the voice noise. Spatial characteristics of theta-rhythm and efficiency of cognitive activity with attention switching in conditions of exogenous noise were analyzed. Analysis of coherence was performed on basis of fast Fourier transformation (software package BRAINSYS). The average value of coherence function in low-frequency theta-band (4-6 Hz) was calculated for all pairs of leads. Two groups of subjects were marked, basing on differences between efficiency of their cognitive activity. Group of noise stable (n=17) subjects demonstrated high efficiency in conditions of exogenous noise and noise non-stable (n=18) subjects, who demonstrated decrease of time characteristics and increase of number of mistakes in these conditions...
