The role of one-act plays V. Sh. Kok-ool 1930s. in the birth of the national Tuvan drama

The article raises the problem of the origin and formation of Tuvan drama. One of its founders was Viktor Kok-ool (1906-1980). In the 1930s. he created several one-act plays, which reflected the search for the foundations of the playwright, which would allow to master the creative wealth of national folklore. It is argued that it is in its infancy plays “Tsalym-chaya” (1935) and “Good afternoon” (1937) realistic sources of dramatic art of Tuva. The first funds were used culture of folk humor in the second themes and motifs Tuvan legends about heroes who can achieve victory over the enemy in the struggle for justice and human dignity. This reliance on national poetic tradition was connected in the plays of W. Kok-ool with knowledge of the realities of modern life Tuva, audience expectations, ultimately, with the desire to reflect the spiritual values and moral health of the Tuvan people.
