The article examines the role of local governments in the field of physical culture and sports using the example of the Ufa city district. The article analyzes the interaction of local authorities with the population in the context of the development of sports infrastructure, the organization of mass events and the introduction of programs to promote physical activity. Assessment of the effectiveness of local government bodies in the field of physical culture and sports allows us to identify key factors contributing to the growth of interest in increasing physical activity among the population.
