The role of the internal affairs bodies of Russia in the prevention of crimes committed during public mass events during the celebration of religious holidays

This article provides a brief analysis of the problems of preventing crimes by the internal affairs bodies during public mass events during the celebration of religious holidays. In the domestic scientific literature of the criminal cycle, crimes committed during and at the venue of public mass events (outside the territories of religious worship and religious organizations), and on the days of celebration of religious events, issues of prevention of crimes committed during mass religious events (and especially on the days of celebrating the most important religious holidays), encroaching on objects protected by criminal law, almost did not receive proper coverage. This article is intended to draw the attention of domestic criminologists and practical employees of the internal affairs bodies of Russia and the Russian Guard to the presence of certain problematic issues when serving to protect public order and ensure public safety during the celebration of the most important religious holidays. The author draws attention to the leading role of the internal affairs bodies in the prevention of crimes during mass religious events during the celebration of the main religious holidays of Orthodox Christians, Muslims, Buddhists and Jews in Russia. Separate measures are proposed to prevent crimes in the area under consideration in the practical activities of internal affairs units.
