The role of pedagogical approaches in the formation of musical abilities in students at the early stages of piano training in China

This article examines the impact of teaching methods in the early stages of piano learning on the development of students’ musical abilities. The study found that both traditional and innovative teaching methods have a significant impact on students’ technical skills, musical perception and expression, as well as creative thinking and creativity. At the same time, the study notes the existing problems in the piano education system, such as the shortage of qualified teachers and the uneven distribution of teaching resources. As solutions, measures to improve teacher training, optimize resource allocation, and implement an individualized approach to teaching are proposed. The article concludes with future research prospects, including long-term studies and cross-cultural comparative studies, in order to improve the piano education system and develop talented musicians.
