The Role of Constitutional Amendments and their Impact on the Development of State Sovereignty

The relevance of this scientific research is due to the fact that today, due to many increased factors, mainly foreign policy ones, the state has proposed that civil society consider the draft amendments that will be put to a referendum in 2020. This article examines the nature of the 2020 amendments that are directly related to the strengthening and development of state sovereignty. This scientific study examines the impact of the amendments adopted in 2020 on the strengthening and development of state sovereignty. The Constitution of the Russian Federation establishes the fundamental principles of the functioning and vital activity of the state and society, as well as the system of public authority. This essential aspect implies that the Constitution should be flexible in certain aspects of legal regulation, but not in terms of changing the fundamental principles of the constitutional order. The Constitution is the supreme legal act of the state. The author of the article believes that the Constitution, after the amendments, has significantly strengthened the states sovereignty, becoming a modular legal act whose main purpose is to protect and develop state sovereignty.
