The article is devoted to the analysis of problems related to the activities of law enforcement agencies of Russia in countering terrorist and extremist crimes, ensuring peace and security. The author emphasizes the global problem connected with the spread of terrorist crimes in Russia and the necessity of strengthening the anti-terrorist counteraction, including through strengthening the work on patriotic education of youth. The importance of preserving the historical memory of the exploits of Soviet soldiers-defenders of the Motherland as a tool for shaping the values of the younger generation and countering modern challenges and threats is emphasized.
