The role of project supervision in the formation of social initiative of students of a pedagogical university

The origins and content of the concept of “social initiative” in relation to students of a pedagogical university are considered. The course and results of the study are presented, the purpose of which was to identify the possibilities of project supervision in the formation of social initiative among students. There is an interest of student youth in project activities, socially oriented projects. The personal and professional qualities of the project curator are highlighted, which ensure the creation of conditions for the development of social initiative of the future teacher. The significance of project supervision as an organizational and pedagogical condition for the formation of students’ social initiative is substantiated. Based on the results of a survey of teachers of a pedagogical university, a conclusion was made about the need for their targeted training to perform the functions of a project curator.
