Role in preventing dental caries and periodontal diseases

Resume: Dental caries is one of the most common diseases among the population of various geographic zones and countries of the world, which can be explained by the extreme versatility of the problem, the complexity of its relationship with the impact of social and external factors that significantly change the conditions and increase the intensity and prevalence of the lesion. In this regard, in dentistry, it is hardly possible to single out a direction more important than the prevention of dental caries, which allows you to change the current situation and influence the causes of the onset and development of this lesion. In recent years, scientific research and practical activities in the development and creation of conditions for influencing directly the pathogenetic mechanisms of the carious process have given a new impetus to the development and improvement of the prevention of dental diseases.
