The role of recreational and tourist complexes in the socio-economic development of regions

This study is devoted to the study of the importance of recreational and tourist complexes in the socio- economic development of Russian regions. The article shows that recreational and tourist complexes play a key role in stimulating economic activity, social sphere and infrastructure development at the regional level. The study highlights the relationship between tourism development and socio- economic processes taking place in different regions, while taking into account natural and environmental factors. The author examines in detail the influence of cultural, sociodemographic, economic, political and other factors on the development of the tourist and recreational complex. The influence of tourism on the development of related economic sectors contributing to the socio- economic development of regions has been revealed.
