Russia's role in the world currency system

The article is devoted to assessing the role of Russia in the modern world currency system. The author analyzes the evolution of the role of the Russian ruble, and the role of the Russian ruble on the basis of its share in international payments. The article concerns the problems of formation of the Russian ruble as a world currency and its potential of becoming a transnational currency within the EAEU.
