This article examines the role of the head of the internal affairs bodies in the organization of public relations. The relevance of the topic under consideration lies in the need to understand the influence of the head on the formation and maintenance of public relations. The article is based on theoretical analysis and empirical research to identify the essence of the role of the leader, as well as to identify his influence on the formation of public relations. The results obtained indicate that the competence and effectiveness of the head have a significant impact on the effectiveness of public relations. The conclusions emphasize the need to develop leadership skills and relevant skills to achieve successful management of public relations in the internal affairs bodies.
