Тhe article analyzes the indicators of professional self - education of coaches and teachers, including mastering new technical tools and information and communication technologies, using new methods of working with young athletes, as well as mentoring and passing on experience to young specialists. The concept of self - education is the process of conscious and purposeful acquisition of knowledge, skills, and abilities aimed at professional development and qualification improvement. In conclusion, it is noted that the key condition for the effective process of self - education is the readiness for learning and acquiring new competencies and knowledge.
