The Russian agricultural societies role in the market infrastructure formation at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries

The purpose of the study is to identify the role of Russian agricultural societies in the formation of a market infrastructure in the agrarian sector at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. Within the framework of the goal, the tasks are defined: the study of the formation and development of agricultural societies at the state and regional level; involvement in scientific circulation of unpublished archival materials; establishing the importance of the state, representatives of the nobility, business and peasantry in promoting the conditions of a market infrastructure based on agricultural societies. The object of the study is the agricultural societies of Russia. The methodological basis of research consists of general scientific (historical and logical, analysis and synthesis) and historical (historicalgenetic, chronological, descriptive) methods. Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that Russian agricultural societies played a significant role in the formation of a market infrastructure in the agrarian sector at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. It is shown that this process took place under the influence of the abolition of serfdom, the bourgeois reforms of the second half of the XIX century and agrarian reform P.A. Stolypin at the beginning of the XX century. The significance of the policy of mercantilism and protectionism of the state in the creation of the regulatory framework for the formation and development of agricultural societies with the motivation and involvement of managers, representatives of the progressive nobility and business was established. The role of the Russian tradition of the union of government and business in this is revealed. The results of the formation and development of agricultural societies as innovative forms of management at the state and regional levels with the involvement of the peasantry are presented. At the regional level, the importance of agricultural societies in Eastern Siberia and the Yenisei Province is highlighted. The final values substantiate the contribution of agricultural societies to the formation of market infrastructure in the agrarian sector at the beginning of the XX century: marketing and advertising, processing and storage of agricultural products, marketing and acquisition, logistics and lending. Obstacles in their development are indicated. The conclusion is made about the significance of the historical experience of agricultural societies in the real conditions of our time.
