In this article, the authors reviewed the basic theory of adolescent suicidal behavior. The relevance of this issue is not in doubt. At the moment there are many approaches that attempt to explain the true causes of suicides in children and adolescents. The authors paid special attention to the consideration of family background as a causal factor in the consolidation of self-injurious patterns in children and adolescents.
