The role of the backbone organizations of the Russian economy in developing market of tourism and sanatorium-resort services

The paper presents the results of an analytical study of impacting the backbone organizations of the Russian economy as the largest state corporations and enterprises on developing market of tourism and sanatorium- resort services through the implementation of corporate social responsibility policies in the cities with such corporations and the creation of conditions for their employees to improve health and recreation in sanatorium- resort organizations. Based on researching Russian and foreign scientific sources, it is shown that the issues of involving large economic corporation ecosystems in the tourism sector are poorly understood. A study of corporate social responsibility reports has shown the lack of common proven tools and little experience in their interaction with tourism industry enterprises. Their activity in the market of sanatorium- resort services shows low efficiency both for backbone enterprises, and for sanatorium- resort organizations and regional sanatorium- resort systems. The analysis revealed the largest corporations with the maximum number of employees and the territorial distribution of the cities where corporations operate in the Russian regions. Cities and corporations that jointly implement tourism development programs have been identified. Based on the case analysis, the key mechanisms of sustainable tourism development in small industrial towns and single- industry towns with little tourism and recreational potential have been studied in order to create a welcoming urban environment and improve the life quality of the local community. Corporate social responsibility programs are investigated and the mechanisms of corporation work in the market of sanatorium- resort services are revealed. As a result, approaches to creating a generalized organizational model of effective interaction between an industrial corporation and the markets of tourism and sanatorium services are proposed.
