Social environment in the formation of criminal behaviour in juveniles in modern Russia

Introduction: this article is devoted to the study of the specifics of the social environment that determines modern juvenile delinquency. Materials and Methods: the methodological basis of this work was the universal dialectical method of cognition of the social conditionality of juvenile delinquency. In the process of writing this article, the following general scientific methods of cognition were applied: historical and legal method, method of formalization, analogy, comparison, generalization, method of differentiation, as well as system-structural analysis and private scientific methods of cognition: concrete sociological research (survey of respondents), thematic content analysis of the media. Results: the article examines the existing influence exerted by the online information factor on criminal acts committed by persons of juvenile age. The results of the author's research concerning the influence of online space on juveniles are proposed. Also, in this context, the results of the conducted sociological research of the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion are presented. Discussion and Conclusions: it has been established that in order to determine the specifics of criminologically significant behavior of juveniles, it is correct to use such a technique as the identification of a factor of indifferent importance for the formation and development of conditions that are both criminogenic and anti-criminogenic in the process of interaction, mutual influence of personality, social and information environment. There is a similar factor. Such a factor should be designated as an online factor, or an information factor. The content of this factor is relevant, based on the fact that it is this factor that finds its active manifestation in various spheres of public life, public relations of modern society. It is fair to note the complexity of the influence of this factor on the ongoing changes in the living conditions of representatives of various population groups.
