The role of the library in the sociocultural space is revealed, where the interaction of culture and communication allows cultural and leisure centers to find new forms of interaction with consumers of services, developing the creative potential of the individual and improving their own management activities. The article provides a justification for the birth of World Book and Copyright Day - April 23. The organizational structure of the project «Day of Books and Roses» based on the library is given.
