Modern forms of extracurricular activities in the building of bachelors' research competence

The article considers the issues of organizing the undergraduate students’ extracurricular research activities in a foreign language at the university. The definition of «research competence» is presented. The essential skills and abilities that make up the research competence are outlined. The role of the discipline «Foreign language» in the formation of the competence under consideration is indicated. The authors review new forms of extracurricular work implementation integrating digital educational technologies at the university. It is concluded that the students’ engagement in research activities in a foreign language increases educational motivation, contributes to the acquisition of knowledge and the formation of research competence.
