The role of mass media in the electoral process

In this article, the author reveals the importance of the participation of mass media in the electoral process. The question of the role of the information and telecommunication network "Internet" in the conduct of election campaigning and responsibility for the dissemination of information violating the legislation of the Russian Federation in the framework of the electoral process is analyzed. Special attention is paid to the principle of observing the equality of candidates during the pre-election campaign.
