In the article the role of mass media in overcoming gender discrimination in the labor market is presented. The analysis is based on the results of sociological research «Gender Discrimination in the Work and Employment Sphere in Modern Russian Society», carried out in 2010 and directed to the development of practical recommendations with a view of prevention and fight against gender discrimination.
