The article analyzes the experience of working in the technopark of universal pedagogical competencies of South Ural State Humanitarian and Pedagogical University. The analysis of various approaches to the formation of engineering culture in education shows that the effective foundation for this is the training of teaching staff. A modern teacher of computer science, mathematics, technology, physics can set tasks with elements of engineering creativity for students, and it is possible to use the equipment of the technopark to solve them. Theoretical, empirical and analytical methods were used in the study. The theoretical analysis made it possible to identify such components of the engineering culture of a future teacher as modeling, designing, engineering, research skills, communication, and management. Empirical and analytical research methods were used in working with undergraduate students of the South Ural State Humanitarian and Pedagogical University, studying in the Computer Science profile, and in the Master’s program Computer Science and Robotics in Education. As part of solving the research problem, special forms and methods of teaching were selected - solving engineering problems, educational and research activities, project methodology. Examples of tasks that were performed at SUHPU with students are given: robot control and mini-competitions, 3D modeling and 3D printing of products according to specified technical characteristics, programming of electronic and robotic devices. In the process of solving engineering problems, students use interdisciplinary connections (in the field of computer science, mathematics, physics); modeling of objects, processes and systems in computer modeling and design systems (Kompas-3D, Tinkercad); get acquainted with additive technologies such as 3D printing. The success of the described approach is confirmed by the results of a survey conducted among master’s students, demonstrating the involvement of students in the process of solving engineering problems, optimal approaches to solving engineering problems (decomposition and the “from simple to complex” method), understanding the effectiveness of various types of search activity management in creative teams.
