The role of transport logistics in the development of the regional economy

Transport logistics plays a key role in the development of the regional economy. It provides access to domestic and foreign markets, which helps to increase trade volumes and attract investment; helps to create new jobs and reduce unemployment in the region; makes regions more competitive; supports the development of related industries; helps to improve the quality of life of the population. The purpose of the study is to study the development of transport logistics at the regional level. The main trends in the development of transport and logistics infrastructure in the Moscow region for 2021-2023 were studied. Conclusions were made that over 2 years, the region has increased spending on the development of transport infrastructure, the quality of roads has improved, the length of roads and the operational length of railways have increased, the volume of freight traffic and the area of high-quality warehouse complexes have increased. For further development of transport logistics in the Moscow region, further modernization of infrastructure, state support for logistics companies, training and development of personnel in the field of logistics, development of cooperation with the private sector are necessary.
