The role of student’s self-management in providing his personal development

New Federal state educational standards of basic general education points on necessity to attach students to social activities and student’s self-management. The article discloses the essence of the term «student’s self-management», which can be a part of pedagogical process. Here the experience of student’s self-management of the Chelyabinsk school № 91 could be interesting. The authors describe the role of student’s self-management providing personal development of students - their preparedness and ability to self-development and realization of creative potential in mental and subject-productive activities, high social mobility based on continuous education and the competence of «know how to learn», development of preparedness to independent actions, and taking responsibility for the results of these actions.
