The role of ultrasonic irrigation in the prevention of postpartum endometritis

The results of ultrasonic irrigation of the vagina and cervix during postpartum period in parturients is a low risk for the development of septic conditions are analyzed in this paper. In the first group an antiseptic - 0,05 % aqueous solution of chlorhexidine bigluconate used, in the second group was used distilled water. The data of the course of the postpartum period is provided. Comparison of results of treatment were based on thermometry, changes of indicators of CBC, dynamics of indicators of bacteriological examination of the cervical canal, and the native smear, ultrasonic testing.
