This article is devoted to the importance of using visual content in the video game industry. The definitions of such concepts as visual content, loot box. The main types of visual content in video games were defined, and each of them was painted in detail. The spectrum of possibilities of visualization of game process was also described. Real examples of video games in which there is a possibility of purchasing paid visual content are given. Hypotheses have been proposed about the reasons for increasing the role of visual content in the video game industry.
