The role patterns of fathers in a group of adolescents with personality helplessness were studied. Compared to fathers of self-reliant adolescents, fathers of adolescents with personality helplessness do not accept their children as they are, contribute to the formation of low self-esteem, deny the child’s individuality, spend little time with him, not approving his interests and plans, have a low level of knowledge about developmental norms child. Also, such fathers are characterized by the manifestation of neurotic patterns of attitude towards their child, they feel anger, annoyance and resentment towards the child. fathers of adolescents with personal helplessness, in comparison with mothers of adolescents with personal helplessness, demonstrate limited interests within the framework of the family, worries exclusively about the family, they have a sense of self-sacrifice, family conflicts are observed, such families are also characterized by over-authority of parents, the mother can show dependence and dependence.
