Z. Prilepin's novel "Sanky a": transformation of traditionalism

The article is devoted to interpreting the traditional system of coordinates - socio-cultural, valuebased - in the novel “Sankya” by the “new realist” Z. Prilepin. The preservation in the memory of sacral nature of clan ties is intertwined with inviability of the previous strategies: the images of character-warrior, character-intellectual, character of patriarchal mindset are leveled out. Successively, the strategies which traditionally allowed to find the way out of crisis situations - resorting to Word, to the national idea - are down-graded. In the new, considerably changed world, that lost value orientations and turned into chaos, even the transition to death or eternity is impossible. The novel ends at the moment of physical death approach but there are no traditional codes accompanying one to some other space. Nothing like this. And it testifies to the necessity of obtaining new foundations.
