The romantic element of the novel L. Nechaev "Waiting for a friend, or the confession of a teenager"

The article analyzes L. Nechayev’s novel “Waiting for a Friend, or Confessions of a Teenager”, which revealed the most striking features of romantic literature, such as the formulation of the problem of ideal, the conflict of ideal and reality, the conflict between the individual and the “crowd”, criticism of the bourgeois way of life, the motive of escape and romantic duality.
