Novels of the 1990s by «new archivists»: the problem of «cultural catalogues»

The paper deals with the problem of «cultural catalogues» as treated in German literature of the 1990-s. The use of the classical format of the «cultural archives» makes it possible for a modern writer to put in order the cultural chaos of the postmodernist space. Description of a new order becomes the leading strategy in the novels by new archivists.
