Russia and Kazakhstan: comparative characteristics of the self-government institution implementation

The comparative legal analysis is carried out of the local self-government institution condition in the Russian Federation and in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Researching the national model of the local self-government in the Republic of Kazakhstan the author finds positive changes in the constitutional and legal provision of municipal self-government in the Russian Federation. This comparative legal analysis brings to a conclusion that the further theorization of the conceptional self-government fundamentals in needed in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
