This article provides an analytical review of milk production in the world, including in the Russian Federation. According to the data received, Russia is in 7th place in terms of milk production in 2023. In first place is India (209 million tons of milk), followed by the USA (103 million tons), Pakistan (66 million tons), China (41 million tons), Brazil (37 million tons), Germany (33 million tons). million tons). In 2023, global milk production rose to 965.7 million tons, up 1.5% from the previous year. The growth was driven primarily by increased milk production in Asia, which now accounts for 46% of total global milk production. On the Russian market, the main volume of milk production still comes from agricultural organizations. They received 20.1 million tons of milk (plus 5.6% compared to the previous year). Based on the results of 2023, the Republic of Tatarstan became the most dairy region of the Russian Federation. 2.19 million tons of milk were produced here. Tatarstan accounts for 6.5% of the total milk production in the Russian Federation. According to Federal statistics, in 2021, the consumption of milk and dairy products amounted to 241 kg per person per year, which is 74% of the Ministry of Health norm.
