Russian political personages in comical discourse

The interaction of political and comic in Russian mass-media of leisure field in aspect of Foucault discourse theory is under consideration in the article. Subjects to review are the characters from the sphere of Russian politics: the practice of their selection and design, methods of their inclusion in the comical discourse. The program «Evening Urgant» was used as material for the study. Practice of the political characters selection in the officially acceptable comical discourse shows the main trend - participation of only executive and legislative authority’s representatives. The typical methods to include the characters in the comical discourse are: as a subject of discourse, as derided object, as an ideologically marked object outside the comical unmasking. The subjects of comical discourse and ideologically marked objects are the federal level politicians; the derided objects are the politicians of regional and local levels.
