Russian absolutism of the 18th century in the context of state ideology

The article examines the features of the reflection of state ideology in legislative acts and other documents and decisions of public authorities during the formation and development of the Russian Empire during the 18th century, from the era of Peter I to the period of the reign of Catherine II. It is noted that in the Military Article of 1715 the status of the emperor was formulated, which remained until the fall of the empire, but purposefully the authorities did not seek to legislate the ideological foundations of Russian statehood.
