The Russian civilization concept in the modern political-legal modeling: the experience of critical comprehension

The article examines the role of the civilization concept in the modern political and legal (constitutional) modeling. In the theoretical framework the phenomenon is considered as a political-legal ideologem designed to fill the ideological vacuum formed after the collapse of the old paradigm of social development. The concept of civilization in the history of Russian social thought is reviewed. The constitutional projects of conservative spectrum are analysed. The basic contradiction of the Russian civilization concept in its political and legal form is also discussed.
